We knew today would be a bit slow - after all, who wants to have a gait-analysis immediately prior or proceeding a race? Despite this, we managed to stay fairly busy. We had some AWESOME volunteers helping us out today and while Zach and Shannon performed gait-analysis' I worked the floor selling and helping those individuals try on their recommended shoes.
Amazing Volunteers! Katie & Kelsi |
Being a bit less busy, we were really able to spend some time getting to know the volunteers a bit better as well as newfound friends!
We're magicians too, you didn't know that? |
Kelsi and the toucan! |
When 12:00 rolled around we started saying our goodbyes and packing up the Deep-Shoe Diver. Took us about 2.5-3 hours but we were able to get everything packed away nicely before Zach did an EXCELLENT job of maneuvering the Deep-Shoe Diver through the convention center and out a freight door with just enough clearance...
Overall, the Gate River Run was a BIG SUCCESS! We were easily the most visible vendor there as well as garnering the most attention (even over the title sponsor). Little bummed I didn't race but c'est la vie' no regrets.
Next stop is Atlanta Georgia!
Final tally for the day:
- 28 peoples tried on the greatest running shoes in the world
- 10 peoples BOUGHT the greatest running shoes in the world
