River Bank Run!

Today we worked the River Bank Run finish line after being at the expo yesterday!  We were able to load-in last night after the expo, leaving us only to unpack the DSD in the morning.  Though it rained through the entirety of our presence, we still had lots of visitors!  One of my good friends from San Diego - 'Merrell' Jon - even ended up swinging by though I had no idea he was in the area!

I'll admit, I'm not looking forward to unpacking the Deep-Shoe Diver once we arrive in Cleveland....  We faced every kind of rain imaginable today - big fat downpour rain, misty side-ways rain, etc - and by the time we left the DSD was thoroughly soaked :( We tried to dry it the best we could but as Blaize said, it's going to be a giant petri dish....  If the sun is shining tomorrow we'll probably open the DSD up for a bit and let it air out :)

It was awesome to see Blaize again as well as meet his fiance' - Shannon - who assisted us both at the expo and the finish line.  Tentatively, before heading to Cleveland for our next event the idea was brought up to swing by Rochester and visit the entire EventNext team - the marketing-agency that oversees the Run Happy Island tour!

Looking forward to resting up tomorrow and getting in a nice, long run :)

On a side note - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to my friends who raced and podiumed today at the Whoos In El Moro 50/25k back in Southern California!  You guys are an inspiration :)
