St. Louis or Bust!

Today is our last day in New Orleans before heading to St. Louis, Missouri.  The city of New Orleans and the staff of the Crescent City Classic 10k have all been AMAZING in accommodating Run Happy Island and our departure is bittersweet.  It was likewise amazing to be able to spend time with Dana and Angie from Brooks Running who flew out from Seattle to see us and the Run Happy Island crew!

Despite all of its quirks, New Orleans has such an amazing, pervasive energy it is nigh indescribable to those who've never been.  On top of this, I was able to experience it - this amazing place - with one of my very best friends who herself radiates such a love of life it's slightly intimidating.

Tonight we're staying next to Lake Ponchatrain on the outskirts of New Orleans.  I'm excited for tomorrow as there's a bike/running path parallel to the lake and within .25 mile of our hotel!

#TimedMileTuesday is tomorrow but I'm tempted to forgo it and do something different...it's important to mix things up and I feel like after 10 weeks of timed-miles it's time for a change!

Lake Ponchatrain Flood Wall.

Until tomorrow - #RunHappy and #StayPositive :)
